I got Thunder for Christmas in 2010 when he was only 8 months old. At that time I was only 12 and had this crazy idea that I wanted to train him myself. When we went to look at him in October it was love at first sight. As soon as I saw him, I knew that I had to have him. I got to lead him around while my dad and his owner talked about pricing and he decided that he wanted to taste my boot (to this day there is still a dent from his teeth). In November I thought my dad had forgotten all about him and I was devastated, but to my surprise on Christmas morning I opened a shoe box that said "go outside" and When I saw him i almost started to cry.
I have been training him for a couple of years now and I cannot say that I am tempted to train another colt, but through the whole process I gained a best friend. Considering I've loved him through a concussion, being bucked off, and being stepped on and bit more times then I care to count, I know we have a bond that cannot be broken. I love him so much and I am proud to say that I have never reconsidered buying him!
Just taking pictures in his paddock
We decided to be models for a day
I have never worked so hard for something that made me feel so loved.
