guilty as charged...

so.... it's quite noticeable... i haven't posted for like... 6 months. If it makes you feel better I would like to update now.
So a couple of months ago we gave Lightning to a trainer in Montana and got a lot of hay instead, really sad but he was just sitting because I was so busy with Thunder. Also a couple of months ago I was riding Thunder and decided to lope, let's just say that was not the best idea while riding in the same area as some crazy guy on a mule.... I got bucked off.
All is well now!!!!! I will go out and take some pictures of the horses and post them later today!! Now that it's summer... I can get back on my feet!

may need this one day....

When we think of those companions who traveled by our side down life's road, let us not say with sadness that they left us behind, but rather say with gentle gratitude that they once were with us.

A large and liquid eye...the swirl of dust around pounding hooves...these, then, are the images that move us.

One can get in a car and see what man has made. One must get on a horse to see what God has made.

To understand the soul of a horse is the closest human beings can come to knowing perfection.

For one to fly, one needs only to take the reins.

His is a power enhanced by pride, a courage heightened by challenge. His is a swiftness intensified by strength, a majesty magnified by grace. His is a timeless beauty touched with gentleness, a spirit that calls our hearts to dream.
Wherever man has left his footprints in the long ascent from barbarism to civilization, we find the hoofprint of a horse beside it.
Horse thou art truly a creature, for thou fliest without wings and conquorest without sword.

You and your horse. His strength and beauty. Your knowledge and patience and determination and understanding and love. That's what fuses the two of you onto this marvelous partnership that makes you wonder, "What can heaven offer any better then what I have here on earth?". Monica Dickens
A good rider can hear his horse speak to him. A great rider can hear his horse whisper.

About the head of a truly great horse there is an air of freedom unconquerable. The eyes seem to look on heights beyond our gaze. It is the look of a spirit that can soar.
John Taunter Foote

Through the days of love and celebration and joy, and through the dark days of mourning - the faithful horse has been with us always.
Elizabeth Cotton

when I don't have anything fun to post about my horses, I think I will just start putting up random horse quotes! XD

and he whispered to the horse, "Trust no man in whose eyes you do not see yourself reflected as an equal".
I just can't help how much I love horses!

slacker

I am SUCH a slacker! I JUST realized I still haven't posted about another addition to my best friends! I got a beautiful paint horse named Casper. I will post pictures as soon as I can! I'm sorry for not posting much, life has been so busy with all my riding going on. I am riding almost 4 horses and I might start training our other colt. Also I might be the next president of the 4-H group cause our other one, he's leaving to go do some rodeo thing! :(

hehe oops! :)

That awkward moment when your friend says, "Come on, you love me more then your horse?" and you can't say yes!
Love my horses! <3
